Natalie Collins, PT, DPT, BikePT: Staff Extremity Therapist

Natalie received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Morehead State University prior to receiving her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Kentucky. While she attended Morehead State, she played on the women's basketball team before a career ending knee injury her Junior season. Although she was already on the academic path of Physical Therapy, it was through her personal experiences in Sports medicine/Orthopedics that she found her passion for helping others.

Natalie has spent the past 3 years completing the requirements for her post-graduate Certification in Orthopedics Manual Therapy from Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars and earned her Functional Dry Needling Certification from Kinetacore in 2012. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association's Orthopedic Section. After earning her certification in BikePT in 2014 she found her niche, which combined her love for cycling and her passion for her profession. Natalie developed Pedal Fit LLC to provide physical therapy professional bike fitting services to both recreational and professional cyclists.

Her Doctorate Project, The Message of Fall Prevention: A Website Developed for Community-Dwelling Older Adults and Heath Care Professionals, was integrated into a larger University of Kentucky public service website. She also participated in Shoulder to Shoulder Global, a multi-disciplinary volunteer medical brigade, which traveled to Ecuador to provide care to underserved communities.
